School SOJ Coordinator Guidelines Guidelines For Level-1(State Level)

Space Olympiad Junior(SOJ) Competition invites students from 1 to 12 to submit Literary & Visual art work expressing their creativity and vision. Their submissions are judged by our panel including artists , scientists, teachers, engineers and astronauts. The winning artwork is woven into displays and performance designed to relay the youth artists messages to other young people and artists around the world.

Guidelines for hosting SOJ- Level 1 (State Level) in school

 

1. SOJ Coordinating teacher may organize LEVEL 1 in school on the date mutually decicded by SOF and the school.

2. All entries in CAT-1/CAT-2 should clearly mention name , age, class, school, city in the A4 size artwork sheets (format will be mailed to school)

3. Students can submit up to 2 entries restricting one entry in each category.

4. Original idea & neatness in presentation will add to qualifying for the National Level.

5. Student qualifying for the national level will be given a theme to pen their creativity.

6. Artwork by CAT-1 and CAT-2 student will be judged separately.

7. School SOJ Coordinator must whatsapp clear closeup short video and photograph of students while they are creating level-1 artwork and one group photograph with school SOJ coordinator and school logo at back with student holding their SOJ Level-1 artwork.

Artwork Guidelines

​- Visual Art

Drawing, Sketch or Painting on drawing sheet

26 x 36 cm or A4 Size

Artwork/Sketch- Oil paints not allowed (only color pencils/crayons and water colors)

​-Literary Art
 

Language - English or Hindi,
Poem, Poetry - Minimum 10 lines
Short story, Essay - Minimum 20 Lines

CAT-1 [ GRADE 1 - 6 ] Eligible only for VISUAL ART

CAT-2 [ GRADE 7 - 12 ] Eligible both for VISUAL ART AND LITERARY ART

Registration Fee 

 

Fee for Level 1 (per participant ) INR60/- for schools in India and USD$5 for schools outside India.

Registration Process 

School can also register online and make payment for the space Olympiad Junior through direct bank transfer, UPI,Web payment at www.spaceolympiad.co.in School can conduct Level 1 only after the registration is done .Your unique School code (4 digits code) shall be generated after which school can register for SOJ level-1. Awards and Prizes Common Prizes for both the Categories (CAT-1&CAT-2)

1. Participation certicates for all in State Level (L-1)

2. Students qualifying & participating for National level are awarded Certificates of Excellence, COE

3. 1st 3 rank holders of Level-2 from each school get ranking medals & certificates.

4. Outstanding Level-2 artwork is displayed at national exhibition centres across India.

5. Best rated artworks in the national exhibition are sent to the International Humans in Space Youth Art Competition sponsored by NASA,USA

 

For teachers/SOJ school coordinator: SOF diary & Coordinator's appreciation certificate.

For School : School participation certificate.

State wise best participation certificate at National Level.

State wise best performance certificate at National Level.

COE for top 10 Schools in India.

Separate Prizes for both the Categories

CAT 1 (Class 1 to 6)

1. Top 3 rank holders at National level, Level 2 get cash price of INR 10,000/-each

2. Next 10 rank holders at National level, Level 2 get cash price of INR 5,000/-each

3. All state toppers at National Level, Level 2 to get an Astronomical Kit prize hamper.

CAT 2 (Class 7 to 12)

1. Top 3 rank holders at National level, Level-2 to visit Singapore on a study tour, fully sponsored by SOF or cash prize*

2. Next 10 rank holders at National level, Level-2 to visit, ISRO, Bengaluru.

3. All state toppers at National Level, Level 2 to get an Astronomical Kit prize hamper. Enclosed are the following documents for hosting the state level, L-1 of SOJ in school.

1. For school - School Enrolment Form, can be filled and sent on mail at sojlevel1@gmail.com or lled online at www.spacelympiad.co.in

2. For SOJ School-in-Charge - School SOJ Coordinator guidelines (instructions for conducting L-1 in school).

3. Student Registration Sheet (SRS): To be filled classwise/sectionwise for L-1 participants.

Separate rank medals and rank certificates in both categories at National Level L-2 will only be given in case the number of participants in Level-1 is more than 500 students.
